Who advises LENS
LENS will be guided by a statewide Adverse Health Care Events Advisory Committee that will bring together voices from hospitals, ambulatory surgical treatment centers, physicians, patient safety experts, and members of the public.
The committee will work with the Illinois Department of Public Health to help shape how LENS is implemented. Its role will include offering insight on reporting processes, communication strategies, and approaches that strengthen learning and improvement in patient safety across Illinois.
