COVID-19 Outpatient Treatment
COVID-19 medications are now available through your doctor, local pharmacies, and health clinics.
If you have COVID-19 symptoms and test positive, do not wait to get treated.
COVID-19 Therapeutics
Therapeutics are outpatient treatments that can be used to prevent COVID-19 or treat eligible patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and have mild to moderate symptoms.
For eligible patients, early treatment and prevention can help improve patient outcomes, reduce hospitalizations, and even save lives.
Test-to-Treat Locator
You must take oral COVID-19 medication within 5 days of your first COVID-19 symptoms and IV medications within 7 days.
If you’ve tested positive for COVID-19 or have COVID-like symptoms, contact the IDPH-SIU Medicine Test to Treat program. If you have COVID-19 and are at a high risk of getting very sick, an oral treatment may help you recover. If needed, SIU Medicine can prescribe that medication and put you on the road to recovery.
